Binding Agreement Date

The date on which buyer & seller (in the case of real estate) establish agreement on terms for a real estate sale, as well as the last offeror receiving notice of acceptance.  For example, if a buyer submits an offer and the seller accepts, the binding agreement date will be when the buyer or buyer's agent receives the acceptance notice back at which time they "bind" the agreement by signature confirmation.  In some agreements, this date also serves as a reference for the beginning of a performance timeline.
